Warm cinematic lighting, still refined
Get BSL Shaders

What BSL Shaders actually does
BSL Shaders is one of the oldest continuously updated shader packs. It focuses on warm, cinematic lighting that makes screenshots look good without straying too far from Minecraft's aesthetic. The pack includes real-time shadows, volumetric light, ambient occlusion, bloom, and built-in anti-aliasing.
Additional effects include depth of field, motion blur, specular and normal mapping, cel shading, and world curvature. These are optional and can be toggled in the shader settings. The defaults are tuned toward a warm, inviting look rather than extreme realism — BSL's whole design philosophy is that a Minecraft world should still feel like Minecraft after the shader is applied.
The pack has been maintained for over a decade. The most downloaded individual file is BSL v8.4 with 16.4 million downloads, supporting Minecraft 1.21.3 and older. Newer versions like v10.1.3 support Minecraft 26.2. That continuity — from 1.7.10 era all the way to current — is why BSL remains one of the most recognized shader packs in the community.

Most resource sites either dump hundreds of unverified links with no context, or hide downloads behind fake countdown timers and redirect chains. This page follows a different approach: it shows the resource's real metadata, links to the creator's original page, and states clearly what we have and have not verified.
