What Classic Faithful 32x actually is

Classic Faithful 32x is a fork of the main Faithful project. The fork was created to maintain the older texture style — the look Faithful had before the December 2025 update that added new textures and changed some existing ones. If you liked Faithful before the recent changes and do not want copper chains, Warden hearts, or the new mob textures in your pack, this is the version to use.

It is 32x resolution, same as the main Faithful, but with a different texture set. The two packs are not interchangeable — they exist for different audiences. Main Faithful updates aggressively; Classic Faithful keeps the older style and updates more slowly. Both are legitimate choices depending on what you want.

The trade-off is straightforward: you get the look you preferred, but you lose the newest textures that have been added to mainline Faithful since the fork. For many players, that's exactly what they want. The 181.2K downloads on CurseForge suggest it's a meaningful preference rather than a niche one.

How to install it

Classic Faithful is a resource pack, not a mod. You drop it into resourcepacks, not mods.

  1. Download the ZIP for your Minecraft version from CurseForge. Do not extract it.
  2. Place the ZIP in .minecraft/resourcepacks. On Bedrock, double-click the .mcpack file if you have that version.
  3. In-game: Options → Resource Packs. Move Classic Faithful 32x to the selected column.
  4. Click Done.
Main vs Classic. If you want the most up-to-date textures with the latest additions, use Faithful 32x. If you want the older look, use this pack. They cannot be loaded together — pick one.
