Get Xaero's Minimap
One JAR per loader. Drop into mods for Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge — client-side, works on any server.
What Xaero's Minimap actually does
Xaero's Minimap adds a minimap to the top-left corner of your screen. It shows terrain you have explored, nearby players, mobs, and entities, and lets you create waypoints. It is one of the most downloaded minimap mods on CurseForge — for good reason. It's the mod that makes the world feel navigable.
The minimap is more than a decoration. Terrain you've walked through is remembered and displayed, which means you can look at the map and see the shape of the land you've already explored. Waypoints let you mark a location and find your way back — a village, a spawner, a base, a stronghold. Entity radar shows nearby mobs and players, which is useful in survival and multiplayer.
Xaero's Minimap is client-side. The server does not need it, and it works on any server that allows client-side mods. Some servers restrict specific features (like player radar or cave mapping) — check your server rules before using those — but the base minimap and waypoints are broadly accepted.
Core features
How to install it
Xaero's Minimap is a client-side mod. The server does not need it — install it like any other mod JAR and the minimap appears automatically in the top-left corner.
- Download the version matching your loader — Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge. The JARs are different and not interchangeable.
- Download the version matching your Minecraft version. Xaero's Minimap ships separate builds per MC version; loading the wrong one will crash on startup.
- Drop the JAR into
.minecraft/mods(or your launcher's mods folder for the profile you're using). - Launch the game. The minimap appears automatically in the top-left corner. No configuration required unless you want to change its position or size.

Why this listing exists
Most resource sites either dump hundreds of unverified links with no context, or hide downloads behind fake countdown timers and redirect chains. This page follows a different approach: it shows the resource's real metadata, links to the creator's original page, and states clearly what we have and have not verified.
If you find a broken link, an incorrect version, or a download that goes somewhere unexpected, report it using the contact form. If you are the creator and want this listing removed or changed, see Copyright / DMCA.
